In the article "Why the 'Establishment' Media Finds Itself on Shaky Ground," the author writes - "In 1990, there were 458,000 people working in the newspaper industry. Fast forward to 2016, and that number had fallen by 60 percent, to 183,000. On the flip side, the number of people working in internet publishing grew from 30,000 in 1990 to almost 198,000 in 2016." Why such sharp changes?

During the same time frame, 'Main-Stream Media' companies have become extremely partisan, as the above article explains. The overwhelming majority of their political contributions have been to the Democratic Party supporting Leftist ideology, which in turn has led to rising levels of distrust in the MSM by the general public and a turning toward more 'unconventional' Internet-based news sources and aggregators... such as Hosken-News.

As a news aggregator, I strive to select the most important news items of the day, as well as focusing on long-term trends in society that threaten traditional ways of life, including faith and freedom. If we fail to see the connection between increasing Leftist government control and decreasing faith and freedom, we're in for deep trouble ahead.
