The truth is far more disturbing. |
In the article "Abortionists want you to believe aborted babies are never born alive. The truth is far more disturbing," the author quotes - "April 1973, Greater Bakersfield Hospital, Bakersfield, Calif.: A 4 1/2-pound infant was born live following a saline abortion (induced by an injection of salt solution) performed by Dr. Xavier Hall Ramirez. Informed by phone, Dr. Ramirez ordered two nurses to discontinue administering oxygen to the baby. His instructions were countermandated by another doctor; the baby survived and later was placed for adoption." This is just one of many heart-rending cases cited in this article. The Dicache, or the Teaching of the Lord to the Gentiles by the Twelve Apostles, is a late-first-century document considered by the Early Church to be part of the New Testament (but it didn't make the final cut). It states - "Thou shalt not corrupt boys, thou shalt not commit fornication, ...thou shalt not murder a child by abortion nor kill them when born" (Didache 2:2). The Pill, the ensuing Sexual Revolution of the 1960s, and the Roe v. Wade decision have led to rampant abortion on demand caused by fornication, and now the widespread normalization of perverse homosexual behavior. What's next? Most likely "Death with Dignity" - killing off the elderly, the demented and the very ill people who cost the state too much to keep alive. The Christian response must be to form "thick" committed Christian communities, as described in Rod Dreher's just-released book The Benedict Option. Get the book!
