About the video "What's Wrong with Socialism?," the Prager U writes - "We’ve read and watched the news of Venezuelan society collapsing under the weight of socialism. But how bad is it really? Thanks to documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz, we can see firsthand the suffering of the Venezuelan people. We’re proud to partner with Ami and bring you this short film of his harrowing trip to Venezuela." So many seemingly intelligent Americans think Socialism would be just wonderful for the United States, but most of them have never spent much if any time in Socialist countries. My wife and I have spent 20+ years travelling and living in Socialist countries, including 17 years in Russia during and after the USSR's demise. The Socialist economy couldn't provide goods and services: state-run stores were literally empty, but people could sometimes buy what they needed on the black market. We lived through ONE MILLION PERCENT INFLATION. Elderly people were actually dropping dead from panic as they waited in line outside banks because their devalued rubles had to be exchanged for new rubles within a month, or else would become totally worthless. If we replaced a burned-out light bulb in the hallway, it would be switched for another burned-out bulb by the next day. We were cheated, robbed and pickpocketed... we could go on and on about the failures of Socialism. And yet, the smarty-pants at MIT have just published a new book, Communism for Kids, "written by a German author who specializes in political theory and 'queer politics,' ...released last month. The thesis of the children's book is that communism is 'not that hard,' but has not been implemented in the right way." It's just another example of brainwashing our youth, not just in universities and high schools, it's now starting with kids in kindergarten. Watch the full video to get the whole story!
