In the article "Not Without Witness: An Easter Reflection," the author writes - "Easter Sunday is the Christian’s yearly reminder that our faith is unlike any other. Where other religions traffic in the elusive and the intangible, Christianity is planted firmly in the concrete. No other religion places the stakes so high. The Apostle Paul wrote that if Christ did not rise from the dead, then our faith is vain."

The four Gospels narrate the events of Holy Week including the Last Supper, Christ's arrest and trial, His crucifixion, and His resurrection from the dead in excruciatingly painful detail. Each Gospel writer describes many of the same events but adds unique details that the others leave out: read the whole Life of Christ, a harmonization of the four Gospels, of which nearly half is the four Evangelists' descriptions of Holy Week.

These events are framed in a historical context, naming the Roman governor, the regional king, the high priest and some of the religious leaders who secretly were followers of Jesus the Messiah. And these details are corroborated by secular history of that day. Yet, today the secular media seem to delight in casting doubt on Christ's existence, His miraculous birth, or His resurrection, depending on the season of the year.
