Click the photo! Private charity by individuals, churches, synagogues and other non-profit organizations must replace government welfare programs. Why? Private charity is by nature more efficient: such organizations often operate on a mostly volunteer basis, emphasize personal relationships with unemployed people, and have limited funds to dole out.
In contrast, state welfare agencies are staffed by well-paid bureaucrats who often consider it just a paycheck, are understaffed with a case load so large they can't develop caring relationships with their clients: just check the boxes, sign the forms and authorize welfare checks from seemingly "unlimited" taxpayer funds. The 50-year-long "War on Poverty" has failed. Poverty won. We've spent $25 TRILLION, and lost three generations of motivated workers. Instead, we've inculcated a mindset of dependency.The purpose of subsidizing a thing is to get more of it, so the result of subsidizing unemployment is more of it! We must help the unemployed change their mindset, overcome entropy, get off their butts, and GET A JOB!
